MT kid wins 5 Grammys

Billie Eilish had a big night at the 2020 Grammys.  She won 5 Grammys - Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best New Artist.  Billie Eilish and her brother Finneas took classes with their mother when they were little.  Their mother was actually a Music Together teacher!  He talks about it in an article - here is the expert for the website Onestowatch:

OTW: Blood Harmony, the title of your EP, relates back to the sound of siblings together.  So, I was curious, what is your earliest shared musical memory with Billie?

FINNEAS:  My mom taught these classes called "Music Together" when we were really young.  I was like two or three, and I guess Billing was just basically born (laughter).  They were great classes.  They were just like singing the same things and clapping your hands and slapping your legs and really rhythmic stuff.  I think it's why I have rhythm.  It's a little bit like kids who learn violin reawlly young and they have perfect pitch.  If you learn rhythm really young, you have it.  Your body knows it.  And I think if you try to pick it up later in life, you don't have it.  It's like language, like how babies can easily learn langages.  It felt like Billie and I learned music that way.  We learned it before anything else.

Palo, Palo - One of our family favorites, Palo, Palo is in the Bongos colletion (Fall 2020).  It was recently featured in the Amazon Prime show Mozart in the Jungle.
